S&P 500 sectors: the eleven sector funds

The S&P 500 split into its eleven sectors, plus the market itself. 24 symbols, each with a line on what it is.

The S&P 500 is split into eleven sectors, from technology and health care to utilities and real estate. Each sector has an exchange-traded fund that holds only the S&P 500 companies in it, and this list puts those funds side by side with a fund for the whole index, so it is easy to see which parts of the US market are moving together and which are not. Each row says in a few words what the sector covers. The full version adds narrower funds: the Nasdaq 100, smaller companies, an equal-weight S&P 500, and single industries such as chips, software, regional banks, biotech, aerospace and defence, homebuilders, retail and transport, plus one actively managed fund. All of them are US-listed and priced in dollars.
