AI power stocks: electricity, cooling and data centres

What data centres need beyond chips: electricity, cooling and floor space. 19 symbols, each with a line on what it is.

AI data centres use a great deal of electricity, and the chips inside them need cooling and a building to sit in. This list follows that side of AI rather than the chips themselves. The short version holds makers of power and cooling equipment for data centres, gas turbines and grid equipment, power generators, among them a nuclear plant operator, and a builder of power lines. The full version adds more generators, fuel cells for on-site power, grid batteries, a European maker of power equipment, and a data centre section: companies that rent out AI computing, build data centres, own them as landlords, or make the servers that go inside. Each row says in a few words what the company does. For the chips themselves, see the AI and Semis lists.
